About Plant Shop
A studio for reluctant plant parents
We started with one snake plant that refused to die and a stubborn belief that keeping plants alive should be the easy, joyful part of your week — not a source of quiet guilt.
Our story
Plant Shop began on a north-facing windowsill in Seongsu-dong in the spring of 2021, with exactly one plant: a snake plant that had survived a full year of forgetful, distracted care. That it was still alive felt like proof of something. Most people don't lack a green thumb — they lack the right plant, in the right light, with instructions a normal busy person can actually follow.
So we set out to fix the matchmaking, not the person. We source from a small circle of growers around Korea, acclimate every plant in our own studio for at least two weeks, and refuse to stock anything fussy enough to shame a beginner. A ceramicist two streets over throws our terracotta pots; a weaver outside the city makes the seagrass baskets. If it wouldn't survive our own chaotic schedules, it doesn't make the shelf.
We believe a home feels different with something growing in it. Not a jungle, not a project — just one quiet, living corner that greets you when you get in. That's the whole idea behind the collection, and it's the invitation we extend to you: start with one plant you truly can't kill, and let the room grow from there.

Kind to the planet
Plastic-free packing, peat-reduced soil, and terracotta and seagrass that biodegrade. We'd rather send one plant that thrives for years than three that quietly give up.
No green thumb required
Nothing here is too delicate for a real, busy home. These are plants for forgetful waterers, dim apartments, and people who travel — chosen to forgive you.
